Getting Started
Set up your GRASSR account and start managing your lawn care business in under 5 minutes.
Create your account and connect the app
Create the business on the web
Go to grassr.app on a computer or mobile browser and create the owner account. Business signup and subscription setup happen on the web.
Download GRASSR for iPhone
Get it from the App Store.
Sign in to the same business
Open the app, choose I'm an Owner, and sign in with the owner account you created on the web.
That's it. You're ready to add your first customer and schedule a job.
Plan and review on the web. Run the day on your phone. Both workspaces use the same business records, so a visit completed on iPhone appears on the web after it syncs.
Set up your business
After signing up, configure the business from either workspace:
- On iPhone: open More.
- On the web: open Settings in the sidebar.
Business Name
On iPhone, tap your profile card in More. On the web, use Settings → Account. The business name appears on invoices and estimates.
Services and default prices
On iPhone, open More → Services. On the web, open Settings → Services. You can always change the price for a specific job.
If most of your mowing jobs are $45, set that as your default. When you create a new job, it starts at $45 and you adjust from there.
Payment Instructions
Add instructions that appear on invoices — like "Pay online using the link below" or "Checks payable to ABC Lawn Care."
Connect Stripe (Get Paid Online)
To accept credit card payments and get paid instantly:
Open payment settings
- On iPhone: More → Stripe, under Payment Processing.
- On the web: Settings → Invoicing & Payments.
Connect Grassr Payments
Choose the Stripe/Grassr Payments setup action and follow the secure onboarding.
Start accepting payments
Once connected, you can save cards on file and charge them when jobs are done.
Why Stripe? Stripe handles payment details securely; GRASSR never sees or stores raw card numbers. The standard online card processing rate shown in Grassr is 3.9% + 30¢ per transaction. Cash and check records do not incur that card-processing fee.
Add your first customer
Open Customers
- On iPhone: Customers → +.
- On the web: Customers → New Customer.
Enter their details
Add their name and primary service address. Phone, email, and a separate billing address are optional.
The service address is where you mow. The billing address is where invoices go. They can be different — like a rental property owner who lives elsewhere.
Create your first job
Start a new job
- On iPhone: Jobs → + (or use + from Schedule).
- On the web: choose New → Job, or open Jobs → New Job.
Set up the job
Select a customer, choose one-time or recurring, set the first date and price, and assign it to yourself or a crew member.
Complete the job
The job is the service plan; each scheduled occurrence is a visit. On the day, open the visit in Schedule, tap Start, then Complete and choose how to invoice it.
